The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, December 28, 1922

Mrs. Clara Baker, mother of Frank Baker, passed away late this…(portion 
illegible)…Mrs. Baker had been in poor health for several years and had been 
failing quite rapidly during the past year.  Mrs. Baker was born in New York 
and came here when but three years of age.  Mrs. Baker had lived for 67 years, 
making her one of the pioneer residents of the city.  Mrs. Baker was a woman 
with a cheery disposition and dearly loved by all who knew her.

Mrs. Baker leaves besides her son, Frank Baker, two brothers, J. George 
Leahman and Fred W. Leahman, of Grand Rapids.  The announcement of the funeral 
will be made later.
