Funeral services are to be conducted by Rev. John H. Stewart of Portland at the home Tuesday at 2 o’clock. Interment will be in Lyons cemetery. Mrs. Baker widow of the late Joseph Baker was born in Eckford but came to Lyons during the lumbering days. She saw the town make a rapid growth and the business interests of her husband prosper. She was a talented singer and for years a member of the Baptist church choir. Her marriage to Mr. Baker took place in 1869. He died in 1906. She leaves two sons J.F. Baker, of Grand Rapids, and Marvin Fred Baker of Toledo, O., two grandchildren, Mrs. Maurice Maynard, of Ann Arbor, and Mrs. Harry E. Lewis of Grand Rapids, a niece, Mrs. Lena Hess of New Jersey, a nephew Clarence B. Hawley, of Pennsylvania and five great-grandchildren.
