The father of Mrs. Luetta Sage, Phil Baker, passed away at her home in Cooks
Corners on January 23.  He had lived with her and her daughter Linda since June
1961 and had been ill for a week.  He was 82.  William and Mary Baker were his
parents and he was born in Ionia April 19, 1879.  He moved to Marion, Mich. in
1910.  His wife Theressa passed away in 1956.

Survivors include six children Luetta Sage, Miss Evelyn Baker of Detroit,
Merretta Wilhelm of Taylor, Helen Pritchard of Evart, Raymond of Marion and Bill
of Evart.  Two sisters Laura and Louise of Chicago.  There are 16 grandchildren
and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Marion
and arrangements by the Fosnaught funeral home.
