Baker, 81, R1, Belding, died Friday afternoon at his home after a two week illness. Mr. Baker was born south of Smyrna, April 28, 1877, and was a lifetime resident there. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Surviving is his wife, Emily; one son, Clayton C., at home, and two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Helen) Lockwood and Mrs. Ted (Betty) Pillera, Belding. Also surviving are three stepsons, William Eberhardt, and Louis Eberhardt, Ypsilanti, and Robert Eberhardt, Colton, Calif., and three stepdaughters, Mrs. Charlotte Whitman, California, Mrs. Clifton (Henrietta Reichert, Alma, and Mrs. Louis (Dorothy) Gray, Greenville. There are several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Ellis Funeral Home with the Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery.
