Wave, Wed. Dec. 23, 1981 LAKE ODESSA- Lee J. Baker, 78, died Dec. 17 in Highland General Hospital, Sebring Florida. Born Aug. 14, 1903, he was the son of Solomon and Laura Allerton Baker. He attended Shores and Nashville rural schools. He was married to Elizabeth Meyers Sept. 18, 1926, and was employed at the R.D. Thayer Construction Co. from 1935 to 1956. After that time he operated his won L.J. Baker Construction Co. until his retirement in 1968. A life-long resident of Lake Odessa-Woodland area, he had spent winters in Naples and Lake Placid, Fla., since his retirement. Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a son, Joseph, of Woodland, and a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Dahm of Lansing; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa, the Rev. George Speas officiating. Burial was in Woodland Park Cemetery.
