Jessie I. Baker 74 of Ionia fell asleep in Jesus on Monday Nov. 9 2015
surrounded by her family.  She was born on June 16 1941 in Coldwater Michigan
the daughter of Carl and Ella (Clarke) Ward.  Jessie loved sewing cooking
gardening shopping and being with her family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Lyle Baker; her parents and a
brother.  Surviving are her children Vicky (Rick) Manning of Rockford Scott R.
(Tammi) Baker of Oxford Wisconsin and Jennie (Scott) Baker of Ionia;
grandchildren Nicole and Andrew Manning; Kayla (Paul) Johnson Nolan Baker; Megan
and Storm Hunter; great grandson Riley Hunter; sister Jean (Merlin) Hickman;
sister-in-law Susan (David) Sutherland.

The Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday Nov. 12 2015 at the Lehman
Funeral Home 220 Rich St. Ionia.  There will be a dinner reception immediately
following at the Ionia Seventh Day Adventist School 721 Elmwood Drive Ionia. 
Interment will be in Grant Township Cemetery on Friday.  The family will receive
friends 6 p.m. until the time of the funeral on Thursday.  In lieu of flowers
memorial contributions may be made to the Jessie Baker pay-it-forward fund.
