Mr. baker had been ailing for some time, but had worked nearly every day during the winter. Although he was born and raised in Ohio, he had adopted Michigan as his home and had resided here for over 20 years. From an early marriage with an Ohio girl, he is survived by a daughter, Grace Fewell, who still resides in that state and a son, Earl, whose whereabouts are unknown. Eighteen years ago he was married to Mrs. Mary Felton who also survives him. Other relatives are a brother, Chester Baker of Ohio and a nephew, Archie Baughman of Battle Creek. Ralph Felton of Grand Rapids is a step-son. Mr. Baker was a member of the Sebewa M. E. church and of the Sebewa I.O.O.F. lodge. The funeral was held at the church Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Thayer officiating. Burial was made in Danby cemetery.
