The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, November 27, 1954


Saranac—Clifton S. Baker, 78, of Saranac, died Friday morning at 10 o’clock at 
the Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  He was born December 17, 1875, in South 
Boston, Ionia county, the son of Calvin and Marilla Thwing Baker and has lived 
his entire life at the family farm home.

Survivors are his wife, Josephine, three nieces, Mrs. Nettie King of Missouri, 
Mrs. Ferne Comb of Sault St. Marie, and Mrs. Marilla Chagin of Cleveland and 
one nephew, Leland Paul of Detroit.

Funeral services at 3:30 at Morris funeral home with the Rev. Glenn McCarty 
officiating.  Interment will be at South Boston cemetery.
