Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. July 29, 1965


PORTLAND - Arthur L. Baker, Sr., 81, of 629 Academy street, died Thursday 
morning in St. Lawrence hospital in Lansing.

He was a lifelong resident of Portland and Past Grand Knight of Knights of 
Columbus For several years he was district manager of Macabees Mutual Life 
Insurance. 

Surviving are two sons, Arthur L. Baker, Jr., and Robert J. Baker of Lansing; 
four daughters, Mrs. Marie Meitler and Mrs. Ann Berkshire of Portland, Mrs. 
Marian Loughran of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Mrs. Betty Chaney of Hamilton, Ohio; 
13 grand and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are being made at Neller funeral home in Portland.
