The Ionia Standard, Thursday, October 3, 1878
Mrs. Sarah Ann Baldie, wife of David Baldie, Esq., of this city, died on 
Tuesday night from pneumonia, aged 70 years.  Mrs. and Mrs. Baldie were old 
residents in Ionia, having emigrated here in 1844.  The deceased was an 
exemplary Christian woman, a kind neighbor, and esteemed by all who knew her.  
Her funeral occurs at the family residence at 2 ˝ o’clock this afternoon. Rev. 
J. Pierson will officiate.
