The Belding Banner, Thursday, March 18, 1965


Mrs. Geraldine Bales, age 38, of 1179 Bellamy Rd., Ionia, died unexpectedly 
Tuesday evening at Blodgett Memorial hospital, Grand Rapids.  Mrs. Bales was a 
special education teacher and had been with the Belding area schools for the 
past two years.  

She is survived by her husband, John C. Bales, her mother, Mrs. Ethel Griffin, 
Ionia; her father, Bernard Griffin, Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. George Robinson, 
Mrs. Herman Smith Jr., both of Ionia.  

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the St. John’s Episcopal 
Church, Ionia.  Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery, Ionia.  Mrs. Bales 
reposes at the Boynton Funeral Home, Ionia, until time for services.
