Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 6 & 10 Jan 1977

Mrs. Azada M. Ball, 79, a longtime resident of West Main street, died late
Tuesday evening at a nursing home in Wyoming.  She was born in Marquette August
6, 1897, the daughter of John and Catherine O’Donnell O’Neill.

Mrs. Ball attended schools in Marquette and graduated as a registered nurse from
Northern Michigan college.  She was employed as a nurse in Marquette and Munising.

She married Jesse Ball December 20, 1925 at Munising.  They moved to Ionia in
1930.  They made their home on West Main street for 35 years.  Mrs. Ball moved
to Wyoming after Mr. Ball’s death in 1973.

She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul church.

Survivors include one son, James of Wyoming, two grandchildren, three brothers,
Gerald, George and Robert O’Neill of Marquette, and two sisters, Helen O’Neill
of Marquette and Mrs. Will (Inez) Wallace of Dunedin, Florida.

Services are Friday at 11 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul church with Rev. Father Mark
VanGorp officiating.  Burial is in Mt. Olivet cemetery.  Rosary will be recited
Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Leddick funeral home where the family will receive
friends and relatives Thursday 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services for Azada M. Ball, 79, who died Tuesday were Friday morning at
SS Peter and Paul church with Rev. Father Mark VanGorp officiating.  Burial was
in Mt. Olivet cemetery.  Bearers were Edward M. Colbert, William Deshaine, Jack
Westover and Donald Pierce.
