Howard G. Ball, 47, died Friday, August 23 at the Vetarans’ hospital in Battle
Creek, where he had been a patient since World War I.  He was born December 30,
1898, at Lowell.

Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Stanley Morse of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Nettie
Wallin of Portland, and Mrs. Fred Smith of Lake Odessa; a stepbrother, William
R. Quick, of Lansing, and a stepfather, James Quick of Lake Odessa.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Pickens funeral home in
Lake Odessa under the auspices of the LaVern Demaray post, American Legion. 
Burial will be in the Lakeside cemetery.
