Mrs. Karen Balslev, 77, died January 13 at the home of her nephew and wife, Mr. 
and Mrs. Paul Albrechtsen at 804 Harrison Ave.  She was born in Fyen, Denmark, 
December 12, 1884 and came to the United States in 1921, living in Montcalm 
County until four weeks ago when she came to the Albrechtsen home to live.  Her 
husband, William, died in 1958.

Left to survive her are three stepsons, Howard Nielsen, Chester Nielsen and 
Lester Nielsen all of Greenville.  Her sister, Mrs. Andre Albrechtsen, died 
December 18.  Also surviving are two nephews and one niece.

Funeral services were Monday at 2 p.m. at Huffman Funeral Home, Rev. Donald 
Kreuger pastor of Holy Cross Lutheran Church officiating and burial was in Rest 
Haven Memory Gardens.
