Miss Euphemia Bane died at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Bane in the west part of the city last Thursday evening, death resulting from ulcers of the stomach. She was their eldest daughter [unreadable line] Sherbrooke, Ontario, July 8, 1879, and was therefore in her twentieth year. Her parents became residents of this city six years ago last July and by her kindly disposition and beautiful Christian character she had endeared herself to her associates. Her last illness was of less than two weeks duration but it found her fully prepared for the higher and better life beyond. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon from the Congregational church Rev. B.V. Child officiating. The casket was covered with beautiful flowers contributed by her girl associates at the Richardson silk mill also by Mrs. E.B. Lapham’s Sunday school class of which she was a member.
