Ionia Sentinel Standard, 4 Feb 1958

Requiem high mass was said for Mrs. Gertrude C. Banhagel, 78, of 647 West Main
street, who died January 30 at the Grand Valley nursing home.  

Monday at 9:30 a.m. rosary was said at Myers funeral home. Requiem high mass was
at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul church and was sung by the Rev. Fr. Henry
Dondzila.  Interment was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Wilson Slowinski, Fred Slowinski, Fred Gierman, John O’Connor, Frank Sharp and
Russell Ingram were bearers.

Attending from out of town were Mrs. Lyman Hill Jr. and family of Jackson, and
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Banhagel, Miss Mary Banhagel and Paul Banhagel of Benton
Harbor.
