Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 19 Mar 1977

Frederick H. Banhagel, 70, of 616 East Lincoln avenue, died at his home Friday
morning.  Born in Ionia March 24, 1906, the son of Robert and Cassie Holden
Banhagel, he was a graduate of SS Peter and Paul Academy.  He worked for a
Detroit contractor until 1928 when he returned to Ionia to become a
self-employed contractor, then retired in 1962.

Surviving is a brother, Frank, of Ionia, and a sister, Mrs. Francis (Gertrude)
Frost, also of Ionia.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. from SS Peter and Paul Catholic church with
Rev. Edward Orlowski officiating.  Rosary will be recited Sunday at 7 p.m. at
Leddick funeral home.  Members of the family will receive friends and relatives
Saturday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
 Burial is in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
