Baragrey, aged 85, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2005. She was born Dec. 5, 1919 in Ionia, the daughter of Lee and Mary (Rose) Stedman. Mrs. Baragrey was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia, and a member of the ladies’ auxiliary of the Moose, Elks, VFW and American Legion. Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, George Haberstumpf; second husband, Wilfred Baragrey, brothers, David, Dewey and Leon Stedman. Surviving are her step-children David (Cathy) Baragrey, Bonnie Bell (Jim) Sumbler and Brian (Julie) Baragrey; nine step-grandchildren; sister, Mary Coulser of Montrose; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be celebrated by Rev. Melvin Fox on Thurs., Sept. 22, 2005 at 1 p.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Woodard Lake Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wed., Sept. 21, with the Rosary prayed at 8 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to SS. Peter and Paul School Fund, St. Ann Home or to Hospice of Michigan, in memory of Mrs. Naomi M. Baragrey.
