THE IONIA SENTINEL, MICH., January 19, 1888: "CITY AND COUNTRY. - Mrs. Jane
Barber, mother of Edward Barber, engineer on the D. L. & N. railroad, died
Friday morning at her residence in the Hackett block, West Main street, aged 75
years. Funeral services from the residence at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon."
