Dec. 2, 1976 RITES HELD FOR JESSIE BARGER Mrs. Jessie M. Barger, 75, of Clarksville, passed away Friday evening at the Osteopathic Hospital, Grand Rapids where she had been hospitalized since November 15. She was born May 5, 1901 at Petersburg, Michigan, the daughter of Nelson and Hattie (Lee) Holcomb and attended the Petersburg schools. She married Charles A. Barger at Monroe, Mich., February 4, 1922 and they moved to Clarksville in 1945 from Plymouth. Mr. Barger passed away December 17, 1958. Mrs. Barger was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Saranac. Surviving are a son, Charles A. of traverse City: a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Bonnie) Walworth of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lyle Holcomb of N. Ablington, Mass. and George Holcomb of Petersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Maud Longdon of Riverview, Fla., Mrs. Frankie Clark of Ida, Mich., and Mrs. Leone Liesinger of Petersburg. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel at Clarksville. Rev. Elwood Norton Officiated with burial in the Clarksville Cemetery.
