Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 14 Dec 1948

Dying at her home in Lake Odessa Sunday morning after a week’s illness was Mrs.
Mary L. Barkdull, 83 years of age. 

Her husband preceded her in death in 1946.  Mrs. Barkdull was a member of the
Central Methodist church.

She is survived by two sons, Elsworth E. of Hersoma Beach, Calif., and Howard of
Lansing; two grandchildren; and a brother, John Bower of Lake Odessa.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Pickens funeral home at 2 o’clock
Tuesday afternoon with interment at Lakeside cemetery.
