Lake Odessa Wave
     SERVICES HELD FOR ELMER BARKDULL
   Elmer Barkdull 82, of Fowlerville, passed away early Friday morning at his mobile
home at Fowlerville.
   He was born in Odessa Township, March 10, 1888, the son of Hiram and Margaret
(Valentine) Barkdull and resided in the local area until going to Fowlerville about 20 years ago.
   He was well known around the race horse circuit as a driver and trainer and at
the time of his death was self-employed and operated his own shop where he made and sold racing 
equipment.
   Mr. Barksull was a member of the Order of Moose Lodge for 52 years.
   His only survivors are a nephew, Owen (Pete) Barkdull of Hollywood Fla. and three
great-nephews.
   Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel, Lake
Odessa.  Rev. Marvin Zinnerman officiated, with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
