Ionia Shopper's Guide, 7 Apr 2007

Dorothy A. Barker, age 86, of Portland passed away on March 29, 2007.  She is 
survived by her sons: Charles Barker of Pewamo and Donald (Betty) Barker of 
Portland; grandchildren: David Shinaver, Joseph Barker, Karen Shinaver, and 
Jennifer (fiancée Ryan Van Solkema) Barker; and siblings: Lorraine (Robert) 
Spitzley of Mulliken; Fred (Germaine) May of Portland, Leon (Jeri) May of 
Portland, and Joan May.  Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, April 2, at 
St. Patrick Catholic Church Portland; with Rev. Larry King presiding.  Rite of 
Committal followed at Portland Cemetery.  Arrangements by Schrauben-Lehman 
Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland.  Contributions may be made to the 
Ionia Area Hospice in Dorothy’s name.
