Ionia Sentinel Standard, 3 Jan 1944

John F. Barker, 91, lifelong resident of Easton township, died Sunday at 7:35
p.m. at his home in Easton after an illness of three days.  He was born March
10, 1852, in the home where his death resulted.  His father and mother were
pioneer residents of Easton.

Surviving is his widow, Lucy; two grandchildren, Emory Bowen of Easton and
Maynard Myers of Grand Rapids; two great grandchildren; one sister, who lived in
Royal Oak.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Myers
funeral home.  Rev. A.R. Kuehn will officiate and burial will be in Easton
cemetery.
