Lake Odessa Wave
     RESIDENT OF THIS VICINITY 50 YEARS, PASSES
  Mrs. John Barker who has resided in Lake Odessa for the past, five or six years,
but who lived in Campbell township for upwards of fifty years, died at her home Sunday 
afternoon.  The funeral was held Tuesday forenoon at the home.  Rev. Spafford preached 
and Mrs. Spafford and Mrs. Homer Bartlett sang.  Burial was at Lakeside cemetery.  She 
leaves one daughter, Mrs. S. R. Braden of this place and three stepsons.  Norman, 
George and Charles Barker, beside her husband, John Barker.
   Mrs. Barker has been a patient sufferer for many weeks past.
    
   CARD OF THANKS
   We express our heartfelt appreciation to the friends and neighbors who have
assisted us during the illness and death of our loved one.  Also for the beautiful floral 
offerings sent by the Liberal U. B. church, Old Neighbors, L.O.T.M., Friendship Club, 
I.O.O.F., West Odessa Aid and the W.CT.U., the singers and Rev. 
Spafford for his comforting words.
