                              ROBERT E.BARKER

LYONS-A Hubbardston resident, Robert E.Barker, 51, died Monday at Veterans 
Administration Hospital at Ann Arbor following an extended illness.

He was a member of St.Johns the Baptist Catholic Church of Hubbardston and also 
its men's club and the American Legion post of Hubbardston. He was a  graduate 
of Hubbardston High School and attended Davenport College of Business in Grand 
Rapids two years. In 1941 he was married to Mary Cunningham of Hubbardston.

After serving two and one half years with the Army in the European Theatre he 
worked at Mitchell Bentley Corporation of Ionia.

Besides his wife, Mary he leaves four sons, John and Dennis at home, James and 
Michael of Hubbardston and a brother William of Lake Odessa.

Funeral service will be on Thursday at 10a.m. at St.Johns the Baptist Catholic 
Church of Hubbardston. Fr.Eugene R.Rox will officiate and interment will be at 
the church cemetery.

Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Estep Funeral Home 
north of Muir.
