                              BARKER

John F. Barker Sr., age 73 of Hubbardston passed away Sunday,March 12, 2023 at 
Sparrow Carson Hospital. He was born December 2, 1949 in Ionia the son of Robert 
and Mary (Cunningham) Barker Sr. John was a 1969 graduate of Carson City High 
School and worked for General Motors for 31 years before retirement. He was a 
member of St.John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston.

John enjoyed golfing, playing cards and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.He loved 
spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

John is survived by his sons, John Barker Jr.,Jarrod (Lindsey) Barker, Mart 
(Jenn) Barker; seven grandchildren, Connor, Tyler, Madison, Hunter, Levi, 
Noah,Jack; three brothers, Jim Barker, Mick Barker, Denny (Julie) Barker; and 
many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother,Robert Barker jr., the mother 
of his children, Nancy Barker; and a sister-in-law, Susie Barker.

Memorial services were held on Thursday,March 16, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St.John The 
Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston. Visitation was held on Wednesday,March 
15th from 6 to 8 p.m at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home in Carson City with a 
Rosary to begin at 7:30 p.m. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to 
the Hubbardston American Legion.
