Deceased has been under the doctor’s care for a long time, but had been confined to the house and bed but a couple of weeks prior to her death. During her last sickness she was constantly and faithfully cared for and tenderly nursed by the neighbors, particularly by Mrs. G. M. Morse and Mrs. Lansing Tracy, but who were assisted by other kind-hearted neighbors who gave their time willingly and voluntarily, she having no relatives in this country that she was aware of, and no friends in the village. She was a native of Ireland, having come to this country, when she was 16 years of age, with an aunt. In Ireland she resided in the same town as did the people of Nightwatchman James Cummiskey, but this fact was not known to him until it was brought out in a conversation with the deceased a few years ago. The funeral services were conducted from her late residence on Grant street on Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Goodell officiating. Deceased left a small estate in real and personal property.
