Ionia Standard, 12 Feb 1892

W.S. Barnard died on Wednesday evening of last week of la grippe.  Mr. Barnard
had been identified with the business interests of Lyons many years, and was a
much respected citizen.  A wife and two brothers survive him.  The funeral
services were held at the family residence Saturday afternoon, and were attended
by a large number of friends.  The remains were buried in the cemetery east of
the village.  Suffice it to say, he was an honest man, a good citizen and will
be missed by all.

W.S. Barnard, an old resident and well known business man of Lyons, died on Feb.
3, and was buried Saturday.  The disease was pneumonia, which is unusually
prevalent this year.
