Sentinel-Std. - Saturday, April 25, 1964

Funeral service was held at LeValley Methodist church Friday afternoon for 
Mrs. Bertha C. Barnard, 78, Orange township resident who died Wednesday 
morning at Ionia County  Memorial hospital. The Rev. Leonard Rowell 
officiated and Mrs. Frank Stout was organist. Burial was at Portland 
cemetery.

Bearers were Robert Barnard, Kenneth Barnard, Gaylord Dreger, Wayne Dreger, 
Edward Summers and Robert Galloway.

Attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Croel, Bruce, Janet and 
Carol, Lyons; Betty Ann Wolverton and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barnard of Grand 
Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Dreger of Belding, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Dreger of 
Charlotte, Earl Peasley of Lansing, Mr. and Ms. Herbert Van Alstine of 
Lowell, Lois Barnard of Ann Arbor, Mr. and Ms. Fred Hair and Mr. and Mrs. 
Ray Barnard of Portland, Mr. and Ms. Eldon Bemis of Ypsilanti, Mrs. Rex 
Eldred and Mrs. Bessie Evans of Edmore, Mrs. Richard Wolverton of Lake 
Odessa, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Summers of Sunfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn 
Bernard of Elkhart, Ind. and Kenneth Barnard of Wheaton, Ill.
