Mrs. Lucina Barnard, widow of the late Dr. J. M. Barnard, and well known in 
this vicinity, passed away at the home of her son, James C., in Danby, Sunday 
morning at 11:30.  Mrs. Barnard had been in failing health all summer and 
during her illness was tenderly cared for by her two daughter-in-laws and 
granddaughter.  At the time of her death she was 92 years of age.

Deceased came to Michigan in 1851 and has resided in Danby township since that 
time.  She is survived by two sons, James G., at whose home she died, and 
Albert C., both of Danby township.

Funeral services will be held at James Barnard’s this afternoon at 1:00 
o’clock and interment will be in Portland cemetery.  Mrs. Barnard had an 
unusually large circle of friends who will receive the news of her death with 
sincere regret.
