Jan. 1, 2006 DOUGLAS IVAN BARNER Douglas Ivan Barner passed away Thursday passed away Thursday afternoon Dec. 22, 2005 at a Lansing Hospital at the age of 59. Ivan was born Jan. 12,1946 in Mount Pleasant, MI., son of Dennis L. Barner and Vera Agnes (Hunter, Barner, Sabin). Ivan was a Welder by trade in the Army 1963-1965, 2 yrs. reserves. Member of Lansing F.A. & M Lodge # 33. V.F.W. Post 4090 and American Legion. He enjoyed playing music, lead, rhythm and bass guitar, banjo, fiddle, drums, and madolin little key board. Surviving are his friend and wife of 39 years, Jill Ann (Meyers) Barner, son Jonathan Scott (Eileen) Barner of California, daughter, Tammy Lynn (Quentin) Blocker of Lansing, 6 grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, step brother, Richard Hurman (Tara) Sabin of Lansing, step mother, Louise E Barner of Mulliken, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday Dec. 29, 2005 at the Rosier Funeral Home, Mapes-Fisher Chapel, Sunfield, Mich. with Mr. Howard Albert Meyers officiating. For those wishing, contributions may be made to the Lansing City Rescue Mission in memory of Ivan D. Barner C/O RFH P.O.Box 36, Sunfield, Mi. 48890.
