Ionia Sentinel Standard, 21 May 1973

A former resident of Belding, Orletta Barnes, 78, of rural Central Lake near 
Traverse City, died at her home Friday.  Born July 7, 1894, in Easton township, 
she was the daughter of Oscar and Maretta Nummer.  Her husband F. Gerald Barnes 
died in 1958.

Surviving are a son, Robert O. Barnes of route 2, Sheridan; two grandsons; two 
sisters, Mrs. Edna Moore of Belding and Mrs. Ida Updike of Belding; brother, 
Lee Nummer of Lake Jackson, Texas.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Huffman funeral home in 
Belding.  Rev. Eugene Lewis will officiate and interment will be at Easton 
cemetery.
