The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, May 31, 1967


Mrs. Jennie Barnes, 65, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ionia County Memorial 
hospital after being a patient for one day.  She was born May 7, 1902, the 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Resler.  Married to Hugh Barnes, they lived in 
Pewamo for 15 years before coming to Lyons in 1941.

Her husband survives her and also two daughters, Mrs. Freman Ferris of Ionia, 
Mrs. Douglas Laney, Muir; three sons, Richard, George and Frank of Lyons; nine 
grandchildren; three brothers, George Resler, Joseph Resler, Horseshoe Lake, 
and Albert Resler of Morley; two sisters, Mable Resler and Mrs. Mary Lesnick.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Lyons Methodist church with Rev. 
Steven Beach officiating and burial in Muir cemetery.  Body will be at Shaw-
Rivett and Hull funeral home in Muir until noon Friday.
