Barnes, 83, of 112 South Pleasant, Belding, died Monday at United Memorial hospital in Greenville. Born in Stanton, May 10, 1888, she was the daughter of Chauncey and Mary Barnes. As a young girl she lived at Copemish and has been a resident of Belding over 65 years. She was a retired employee of he old basket factory of Belding. A member at First Congregational United Church of Christ of Belding, she also belonged to its social circle of women's fellowship. She was a life member of the OES. Surviving is a brother, Thomas Barnes of Belding. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 pm at Charles M. Courser funeral home in Belding. Rev. Wilford Wood will officiate and interment will be at River Ridge cemetery, Belding. Bearers will be William Crystler, Ray Peterson, Laurence Hodge, Kirmeth Van Ocker, Patrick Maloney and Ralph Wilson.
