Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday February 8, 1978

FORMER RESIDENT PASSES AWAY

Lila B. Barnes, age 73, of 3470 Reiser Ave. S.W., Wyoming, Mich., passed away at 
her residence. Mrs. Barnes lived in the Lake Odessa area several years ago.

She was born June 8, 1904 in LeRoy, Mich., the daughter of Otis and Margaret 
(Kivel) Bevins. Her husband, George Barnes, passed away in 1965.

Survivors include; one son, George Johnson of Marion; one daughter, Mrs. 
Margaret Moe of Lake Odessa; three brothers, Otis Bevins of Kalamazoo, Bert of 
Florida, and James of Grand Rapids; 15 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 17 
great-grandchildren. A son, Kenneth Johnson of Lake Odessa, passed away in 1957.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:00 pm, at the Pickens-Koops Funeral 
Chapel in Lake Odessa, Rev. Gary Evans officiating with burial in Lakeside 
cemetery.
