Though along in years, Mrs. Barnhart seemed to be in fair health. He rode to church at the Dexter schoolhouse yesterday afternoon and had walked about a half-mile from the home of his daughter last evening to call on some neighbors. He rode into Ionia later in the evening. Mr. Barnhart only lived about 30 minutes after he was taken sick this morning. His former home was in Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Alspaugh came here about four years ago. Mr. Barnhart also leaves another daughter at Charlotte. He had made his home in Charlotte winters and in Easton during the summer. No arrangements have been made for the funeral.
