The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, February 2, 1963


Roy Barnhart, 84, of Sheridan died Friday afternoon at a rest home in St. 
Louis.  He had been a resident of Sheridan many years and had managed dry good 
stores in Cadillac, Ionia and Edmore.  In later years he was associated with 
his son at Barney’s supermarket in Sheridan. 

He was married in 1900 to Blanche Stuckey who died in 1957.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Florence Cyr of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. 
Joan Stone of Detroit, and Mrs. Dorothy Shaffer of Lansing; one son, W. 
Carlyle Barnhart, and four grandchildren. 

Funeral service will be at Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan Monday at 3 p.m. 
with interment at Evergreen cemetery at Sheridan.
