George W. Barratt, 65, of 303 Church, Portland, died of a heart attack Monday at
Rogersville, Tenn.

He was a retired Portland TRW plant employee in 1971.  At the time of his death
he was a consultant at the Rogersville TRW plant.  He had worked 18 years with
the company.

He was born January 23, 1909, in Lansing, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bertram Barratt.

Surviving are his wife, Harriet, two sons, George W. Barratt, Jr., of Jenison
and David of Portland; two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Foster of Grand Ledge and
Mrs. Cathy Bloomquist of Grayling; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth
Pricco of Lansing and Mrs. Esther McKinley of Eaton Rapids.

He was a member of the Portland United Methodist church and the VFW Dads club.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Neller funeral home in Portland,
Rev. Harold Homer will officiate and interment will be at Portland cemetery.
