Mr. Richard D. Barrett, 64, of Saranac passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000 in 
Bushnell, Fla.  He was born April 13, 1935 in Edmore, the son of Edgar A. and 
Esther M. (Rocka) Barrett.  Mr. Barrett was a resident of Saranac since 1974.

He is survived by his wife, Kay; two sons, Randy Lee Barrett of Ionia and 
Ricky Jay Barrett of New Orleans, La.; one daughter, Linda Sue Barrett of 
Ionia; two stepsons, Jeremy Christopher Walch of Saranac and Craig Michael 
Walch of Fenwick; one brother, Robert Edgar Barrett of Orlando, Fla.; one 
sister, Joan Stephens of Webster, Fla.; several grandchildren and great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Rich Street Chapel of Cook 
Funeral Home, Ionia, with the Rev. Lewis Adamson officiating.  Interment will 
be in the spring in Easton Cemetery.  Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 p.m. 
to 8:30 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
