Barrett, 56, of Detroit, died in a Detroit hospital Monday morning at 9:25 following an illness which affected him critically last Friday. He had been in poor health for some months. Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 9:30 o’clock at Christ the King Catholic church in Redford, where Mr. Barrett lived before moving into Detroit a few years ago. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery, Ionia, in the Barrett family lot where his mother and father, and infant brother, and an infant daughter are buried. There will be no church services here, the funeral party proceeding directly from the Redford church to Mt. Olivet cemetery where it is expected to arrive about 1:30 o’clock Thursday. Surviving are the widow, Margaret, nine children and a sister, Mrs. Bert Connelly, formerly Miss Crystal Barrett of Detroit, an aunt, Mrs. Bertha Scully of Detroit, and an uncle, John Garrity. Mr. Barrett was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Barrett of Ionia and resided her until he moved to Redford about 25 years ago. He was associated with his father in the cigar manufacturing firm of Barrett & Scully here. The William H. Barrett family resided on East Main street in the home now owned by Mr. and Mrs. Bert Thatcher, which Mr. Barrett built. Mr. Barrett was formerly Miss Margaret Dehn of Portland.
