Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2002

Mr. James R. Barrows, 41, of Ionia went to be with his Lord Jan. 17, 2002.  Jim 
was born the son of Clyde and Hazel (White) Barrows on April 9, 1960 in Ionia.  

Jim graduated from Ionia High School in 1978.  He was a member of the First 
Baptist Church in Ionia.  He worked at Lacks Extruded Metals in Saranac, Brown 
Corp. in Ionia and at Custom Office Systems in Ionia for the past ten years.

Surviving are his siblings:  Norma (Kenneth) Glynn of Stockbridge, Lucky 
(Jerry) Phelps of Venice, Fla., Janice (Rick) Booth of Coral Springs, FL, 
Yvonne (John) Challender of Eaton Rapids, Viola (Robert Jr.) Waters of Ionia, 
Kim Taylor of Ionia, Betty Barrows of Ionia and Margaret (Karry) Hughes of 
Ionia.  Many nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde L. Barrows on Jan. 19, 1989 and 
Hazel Barrows on April 11, 1989, one nephew, Kevin McGee. 

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday from the First Baptist Church in 
Ionia with Rev. James Bennett officiating.  The organist will be Dorothy 
Horrocks.  Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 
p.m. at the Myers Memorial Chapel, 148 E. Main St., Ionia.

Memorial contribution can be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund in 
care of Myers Memorial Chapel.
