CLYDE L. BARROWS
IONIA-Clyde L. Barrows, 75, of Ionia died Jan. 19 at Ionia County Memorial
Hospital.

He was born the son of Lewis and Nora Lambert Barrows May 23, 1913, in Remus.

He served in the U.S. Army in the First Calvary Division in the Pacific during World
War II. 

He worked at Mitchell-Bentley Company and also Brown Corporation, retiring in 1975.
Surviving are: his wife Hazel; two sons, Kenneth and James, both of Ionia; seven
daughters, Norma Glynn of Stockbridge, Lucy Phelps of Florida, Janice Booth of Florida, Yvonne
Challender of Eaton Rapids, Violet Wolcutt of Ionia, Betty Barrows of Ionia,
Margaret Hughes of Grand Rapids; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, one brother,
Clifton of Bradenton, Fla., and one sister, Letha Cusser of Detroit.

Complete funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Myers Memorial
Chapel in Ionia with the Rev. Chester Tanase officiating.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Visiting hours will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Sunday at 
the Main Street Chapel.
