Wilfred Wood and Hugo Fales American Legion post 203 of Belding and VFW Post officiating. Burial will be in Green cemetery near Belding. Mr. Bartlett who lived at 8194 North Johnson road, Belding, died unexpectedly Monday at Ionia County Memorial hospital. Born in Montcalm county October 3, 1917, he lived in Belding area the last 22 years. He was a metal finisher at Smith Plastics in Ionia, member of Hugo Fales American Legion post of Belding and VEW post and Belding sportsmen club. Mr. Bartlett served 33 months with the army in the South Pacific during World War II. July 12, 1940 he was married to Rachel Miller in Ionia. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Vickie and two sons Gary and Duane, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Rose Bartlett of Saranac; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Brand of Sheridan and Mrs. Nina Sweet of Saranac. Bearers will be Cecile Antcliff, Leonard Antcliff, Fred Barr, Joe Kessler, Don Marshall and Ernest Strecker.
