Ionia County News, 4 Jan 1951

William O. Barton, 87, former Portland business man, died at his home Friday,
Dec. 29, of a heart attack.  He was born in Willoughby, O., in 1873 and moved to
Portland 72 years ago.  He operated a meat market for several years and later a
farm implement business for 37 years.

Surviving are his wife, Rose; a daughter, Mrs. Marion Brown of Portland; seven
grandchildren; and one brother, Jay, of Portland.

Funeral services were held at the Neller funeral home Tuesday afternoon.  Rev.
Keith Avery officiated.  Burial was in Portland cemetery.
