Portland Observer – Wednesday 25 January 1893
Mrs. Adella Bartow, widow of the late Hon. Moses Bartow, died at the home of 
her daughter, Mrs. Chas Triphagen, on the west side, on the 18th inst., in the 
72d year of her age.  The deceased was a victim of paralysis, having suffered 
from it for the past 21 years, and for more than three years had been confined 
to her bed as the result of it.  The funeral services were held at the house 
on Friday afternoon last, Rev. D. E. Millard officiating.
