Frank V. Barry, 73, of 5141 Jordan Road, Freeport, died Sunday in Barry County
Medical Facility.  Born Dec. 24, 1912, in Carlton Township, Barry County, he was
the son of Thomas and Marie Myers Barry.  He attended Friend rural school and
was married to the former Susan Dorene Miller on March 8, 1941, in Williamston,
Mich.

He was employed by E.W. Bliss Co. of Hastings for 29 years before his retirement
in 1976.  He was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife Susan; a son, Thomas, of Clarksville and a daughter, Mrs.
Fred (Gretchen) Slater of Woodland; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs.
Donald (Bonnie) McLeod and Mrs. Francis (Delores) Peckins of Lyons; and a
half-sister, Queenston Sadaway of Denim Springs, La.  Two brothers and a sister
preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Koops Funeral Chapel,
Lake Odessa, with the Rev. Glen Wegner officiating.  Burial will be in Woodland
Memorial Park.  The family will be at Koops Funeral Chapel Tuesday from 2 to 4
p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
