     LYDIA BASHORE LAVY DIES IN INDIANA
   Mrs. Lydia Bashore Lavy 82, former local area resident, passed away Tuesday, July
4, at a Flora, Indiana Convalescent Home following a month's illness.  She had been a resident 
of Indiana for eight years, moving there from Woodland.
   Mrs. Lavy was the daughter of Benjamin and Amanda Brovent and native of Star,
County, Ohio coming to Michigan with her parents when five years of age.
   She was a resident of the local area since 1933 coming here from Mulliken and
moving to Woodland in 1945.
  Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Jess (Florence) Wise of Mulliken, Mrs. Ruth
Meyers of Lansing and Mrs. Lawrence (Dora) Mitchell of Dayton Oh, two sons Oliver Bashore of 
Grand Ledge and Carl Bashore of Mason; 12 grand children and seven great grandchildren.
   Her husband, Isaac Bashore passed away ten years ago.  
   Funeral services were held Thursday (today) at 2 at the Stone Funeral Home at
Canden, Indiana with graveside services at the Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa, Friday at 11 o'clock.
