Forey Eugene Basom died Friday, Sept. 18 at 10:30 p.m. at his home in Stanton
where he had lived 33 years.	He was born September 16, 1877 in Ronald township
and had spent most of his early life in this area.

Surviving are his wife Sylvia; three daughters, Mrs. Roy Wykoff of Sheridan,
Mrs. Ford Yarlott of Denver, Colo. and Merna of New York City; one son, Stewart
of Stanton; two half-brothers, Ronald Pierson of Ionia and Robert of Orleans;
one sister, Mrs. Ernest Leach of Orleans; seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Connolley Funeral Home with the Rev. Albert
Trembert officiating.  Interment was at Forrest Hills cemetery at Stanton.
