Funeral services for Fred L. Basom, 118 Rich street, who died in Blodgett
hospital, Grand Rapids, Thursday morning following an emergency operation
performed Monday night, will be conducted at home Sunday afternoon, at 3
o’clock, by Dr. Paul L. Stewart.  The burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.

Funeral services for the late Fred L. Basom, who died at the Blodgett hospital,
Grand Rapids, Thursday morning following an operation, were conducted from the
home on East Washington street Saturday afternoon, Dr. Paul Stewart officiating.

The bearers were Herbert A. Ross, Henry Hamilton, Harry Whipple, Charles Grooms,
Earl Mason, and D.O. Mellinger.  The many and beautiful flowers were in charge
of Mrs. Bert Whipple and Mrs. Walter Plummer.  Burial was in the Balcom cemetery.

Those from out of town who attended the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Forey Basom,
of Stanton; Mrs. Fay Smith, of Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Guernsey, of Lowell,
and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Basom, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Basom, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Gazella, all of Grand Rapids.
